It is summer time and it is time for us to play outside.
Uncle Uncle where is the way?
This is a game I was taught from my grandparents, who came
from Palestine , all children play it.
Girls and boys during the day. The boys bind the eyes
of the player or the chosen one with a taboo or piece of cloth to prevent him
from seeing, and this player repeats:
Oh, where is the way?
And everyone answers:
You have a stone and a jug...
Oh, where is the way?
You have a stone and a jug...
The child, with his eyes tied, tries to catch one of the
players who revolve around him, and they move from one place to another, making
noises with the intention of confusing and provoking him, and showing his
inability to catch them. To see the closest children to him, to pounce on him
in the blink of an eye. A forbidden item or piece of cloth shall not be
removed from the player's eye unless he is able to catch one of them to replace
him in the pursuit. If he succeeds in that, the blindfold will be removed
from his eyes and placed over the eyes of the captured child, to start the game
again.
